Running the school- leadership session and panel

About this event

Behaviour remains one of the most important and misunderstood levers in school improvement. While many schools are “doing something” in this space, far fewer have built a coherent, intentional behaviour curriculum that secures consistency across classrooms.

Part 1: Tom will frame the conversation through his work across hundreds of schools and systems, outlining the key levers that move behaviour from aspiration to embedded practice.

Part 2: Then the morning will explore how to move from policy to practice, reduce variation between classrooms, and build environments where learning is protected.

This will be a structured discussion grounded in real implementation. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly, ask questions, and examine what is working (and what isn’t) across different school contexts.

Join Tom Bennett alongside an expert panel including: Mark Dowley (co-author of The Classroom Management Handbook) Representatives from Rosebud Secondary College (successfully implementing a whole-school explicit behaviour curriculum) Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS are a system scaling evidence-informed school improvement across its network) Victorian Department of Education (driving system-wide consistency in evidence-informed teaching through the VTLM 2.0)

Rhys Coulson, Principal (embedding an intentional behaviour curriculum at Templestowe Heights Primary School)

Designed as an intimate, high-impact experience, this event is limited to 50 tickets only, ensuring space for meaningful dialogue and professional exchange.
