MyTime Marrickville
About this event
MyTime is a free peer support program for parents and carers of children with disability, developmental delay, concerns about development or chronic medical conditions. It offers a regular space to unwind, socialise and share experiences with others who understand, separate from appointments and therapy. MyTime is support for you.
Sessions are shaped by members so the group can focus on what matters most. MyTime Marrickville is run by parent‑peer workers with lived experience raising a child with disability or delays.
At MyTime you can chat over tea or coffee, share your week and exchange ideas and information. Some sessions include discussions led by the facilitator or a guest speaker, and there may be simple wellbeing activities to help carers take time for themselves. It is a place to build your village with families who understand.
This program is for: Parents, family members and primary carers of children aged 0 to 18 years with disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence or developmental concerns.
When: Five fortnightly sessions, each two hours, from 11am to 1pm AEDT. You may join any session. Childminding is available for preschool‑aged children depending on bookings.
Facilitated by a parent‑peer worker.
