Quiet Storytime - Every third Tuesday of the month at 10am

About this event

Quiet Storytime sessions will provide a calm, supportive environment where children and their caregivers can engage with the library at a gentler pace.

Each session will include carefully selected stories, simple rhymes, and a gentle craft activity. Families will also be given ample time to browse the library shelves peacefully and to familiarise themselves with the Library in a relaxed way with a familiar librarian on hand to assist families and carers.

Sessions will be held at Lawson Library on the third Tuesday of each month at 10.00am, while the building is closed to the general public. This ensures a quieter, less stimulating setting that supports children with sensory sensitivities or additional needs.

Registration is required to help us manage numbers.

Please book places for all people attending the event, including adults and babes in arms. This helps us determine number limits in this small venue.

We know life gets in the way of well made plans! If you suddenly find you are not able to attend, please either cancel your booking in Eventbrite or SMS / call mobile #: 0457 131 879.

The Library Children & Young Adults Services team is more than happy to discuss any individual access needs or provide further details about the program. Please call the C&YA Team Leader on 0457 131 879.

Quiet Storytime strengthens Blue Mountains Library’s dedication to creating welcoming spaces for all families and fostering positive early literacy experiences.
