National Simultaneous Storytime 2026: Luna Roo: at Belmont Library

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is an important annual event that aims to encourage young children to read and enjoy books as well as teach them the value of literacy. Each year an Australian title is chosen to showcase our talented Australian authors and illustrators. This year we will be reading Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson, Adrian Lloyd and Jake A Minton Suitable for ages 2 - 6 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. About the book: Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller delivers a high-energy story that will have you cheering like you’re in the stands Cheer for Luna Roo as she finds her inner strength on the field in this energetic underdog story. Rookie captain Luna Roo leaves nothing on the pitch as she leads FC Outback in a thrilling face-off against Bush United.
