Design to Print

About this event

Get ready to turn your imagination into real 3D‑printed creations!

Design to Print is a fun, hands‑on workshop series for young makers aged 9–15 who want to learn how to design and print their own objects using Onshape, a beginner‑friendly 3D modelling platform.

Across four connected sessions, you’ll learn how 3D printers work, explore awesome examples of 3D‑printed designs, and build your skills step by step. You’ll start with simple sketches and shapes, then level up to extruding, trimming, adding fillets and chamfers, and creating full 3D models.

By Session 3, you’ll take on a mini design challenge—like creating a cable clip, bookmark, key organiser, or anything your creativity inspires. In the final session, you’ll refine your design, prepare it for printing, and share your creation with the group.

By the end of the program, every participant will have a fully print‑ready 3D model, plus the confidence to keep exploring 3D design independently.

Thursdays, 7 to 28 May, 4-6pm

This is a four‑part series, and participants must attend all sessions.

One booking registers you for all four sessions.
