Active CB Junior Rangers: Whales at Wattamolla

About this event

Junior Ranger – Whales at Wattamolla

Join National Parks and Wildlife Service Discovery Rangers for an adventure at Wattamolla in the Royal National Park (Australia’s oldest National Park!).

Learn amazing Ranger skills like spotting plants, animals and even whales! Walk through colourful coastal heath and discover flowers, insects and birds like superb fairy‑wrens. Keep your Ranger eyes sharp you never know what you could spot along the way.

Once we reach the sandstone cliffs at Providential Point, where the ocean meets the Park, we’ll take a break looking out to the Humpback Highway, the perfect place for a whale watching mission. Learn how Rangers look for whales as they swim past the coast and enjoy a walking break while scanning the ocean with binoculars.

We’ll then follow the Royal Coast Track back to Wattamolla, finishing your day as a confident Junior Ranger Coastal Explorer!
