Alphington Community Battery Launch!

After many years of planning, community collaboration, planning, and project delivery, the Alphington community battery is ready to become part of Alphington’s local energy future. This event marks an exciting milestone for the project and the beginning of a new chapter focused on community participation, sustainability, and local energy transformation.

Come along to the Alphington Farmers Market for a relaxed, family-friendly morning featuring community activities, local organisations, and opportunities to learn more about community energy initiatives in Darebin.

What’s happening on the day?

Official launch of the Alphington Community Battery Kids activities including face painting, treasure hunts, and boomerang bag decorating Stalls from local sustainable and community groups Coffee van on site Scones and tea from the Country Women’s Association Battery artwork reveal and meet the artist Meet the Village Power team and local representatives Learn more about community energy and how to get involved locally This is a free, family-friendly event and everyone is welcome.
