Bird safari (10-12 years)
About this event
Go wild on a guided walk introducing children to birdwatching. Young naturalists will learn how to use binoculars, listen and look for birds, build identification and observation skills, complete some fun challenges, and discover how recording observations can contribute to bird conservation. Binoculars supplied.

Cost: Free
Age: Suitable for 10-12 years. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult carer.
Booking requirements:
Maximum 3 tickets. Please do not overbook, places are limited. A ratio of 1:2 parents to children is required. If you cannot attend, please cancel via Eventbrite so others can book a spot. Requirements on the day:
Please arrive 10 minutes early for check in. Secure, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please). Wide-brimmed hat and sun-smart clothing. Sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring water in a reusable bottle and a snack, as there are no food outlets on site. Binoculars supplied. Meeting point: Boondall Wetlands environment centre.
Carparking and toilets: Free carparking. Public toilets located at the environment centre.
Note: Outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
