Blue-banded bee workshop

About this event

Join Council's Dr Alexander Austin in a practical workshop on creating artificial habitat for blue-banded and teddy bear bees. You'll learn about these beautiful native species, their habits and behaviour, as well as getting hands-on to create mud-brick nests for them.

This is a hands-on workshop (no bystanders) where you will literally be getting your hands dirty, so please come prepared. Wear long trousers, shirt, and closed-toed shoes.

Event will run in light rain. Under more extreme weather conditions the event will be canceled.

Meeting location: Douglas Pickering Pavilion, St Ives Showground, 450 Mona Vale Road, St Ives.
