Children in the Room: from Child Safe Standards to practice
About this event
Tuesday 30 June, 12:30-3:30pm Frontline workers often support parents and carers, without much focus on children in family or community settings. However, under the NSW Governmnent’s 10 Child Safe Standards, organisations must also actively and meaningfully engage with children, even when they’re not the primary client, to ensure they feel safe, heard, respected and empowered.
Join us for this practical session to support you build confidence to recognise and respond to children’s needs.
In this session, you’ll • Learn to apply Child Safe Standards in everyday work and create child-inclusive service environments • Be part of interactive discussions and activities and have opportunities to ask practice-based questions • Help co-design practical tools and resources
Lunch will be provided at noon. Venue: Bankstown Sport Club
