Dr Hayley Green from Western Sydney University reveals how investigators estimate time since death, one of the most critical questions in any investigation. Blending science, observation, and detective work, this session explores the remarkable methods used to read the body’s final timeline.

About Dr Hayley Green

Dr Hayley Green is a forensic anthropologist at Western Sydney University, with degrees from the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney, and a PhD from UNSW. Her research focuses on how forensic methods for estimating time since death, largely developed in the Northern Hemisphere, can be adapted for Australian conditions. She works with the Australian Facility for Taphonomic Experimental Research (AFTER) to study how climate and environment affect human decomposition.
