Using Recycled Materials - No Dig Garden

About this event

If you have bad soil or poor drainage you can construct your garden beds by building up rather than digging down! Learn how to build a 'No Dig' garden using some recycled materials such as compost, newspaper, cardboard, manure and straw. These recycled materials can form layers in new garden bed that will break down over time to produce rich organic soil. Come and see a hands-on demonstration of how to make a 'No Dig' garden bed and bring these skills back to your own backyard and community!

Location and Parking: The Progress Hall is found at the rear of Annangrove Park in the car park. There is plenty of free parking available.

What to Bring: Please bring pen and paper if you wish to take notes. Please also wear a hat, enclosed shoes, long pants, and sunscreen as part of this workshop will take place outside in the gardens.

Important Information: Workshops are only available to residents of The Hills Shire.

Event Attendance Policy: This event is for Hills residents only. If you can’t attend the event, please cancel your ticket at least 12 hours in advance. No-shows or late cancellations may result in loss of future booking privileges.
