Experience an outstanding live music performance led by acclaimed Australian guitarist and composer Paul Mason, joined by an exceptional ensemble of leading contemporary musicians.
Paul Mason is of Wiradjuri and convict descent, with family roots across the Southern Highlands and South Coast of New South Wales. A highly versatile musician working across jazz, rock and contemporary music, he is recognised as one of Australia’s most accomplished modern guitarists. Paul has performed with artists including Sting, Harry Connick Jr., Christine Anu, Kate Miller-Heidke, James Morrison and Jessica Mauboy.
As a solo artist, Paul Mason has established a strong presence in Australia’s live music scene. His concert presentation Paul Mason Plays the Music of Jeff Beck has drawn strong audiences across the country and received widespread acclaim. He has also headlined major festivals including the Adelaide International Guitar Festival and the Girrakool Blues Festival. He was also a finalist in the National Jazz Awards at Wangaratta. Paul is also an ambassador for the Make Music Day Australia Foundation and continues to perform nationally as one of Australia’s leading musicians.
Paul Mason will be joined by an all-star band featuring Warren Trout (drums), Noel Mason (bass) and Casey Golden (keyboards). Together, they create a rich and layered sound that blends improvisation with strong contemporary influences, delivering a compelling and memorable live performance.
Willoughby City Council is proud to be a contributor to the Gai-mariagal Festival. Founded in 2001, the festival celebrates First Nations people and culture in the Northern Sydney region.
