Free two-day community forum: Recognise, respond & prevent domestic and family violence
In partnership with the Central Coast Domestic Violence Committee, we are hosting a free two-day community forum designed to build awareness, confidence and practical skills to help prevent domestic and family violence across our region.
With the Central Coast recording 1,910 domestic violence assaults in 2025, these forums aim to empower locals with the tools to recognise early signs, respond safely and support those at risk.
Location: Gosford Regional Library
• Day 1 – 22 June 2026: Building awareness & understanding • Day 2 – 27 July 2026: – Taking action & putting it into practice Time: 8.30am - 4.30pm (both days) Who should attend: Community members, workplaces, educators, youth workers, sporting clubs, community groups — anyone wanting to help create a safer Central Coast. Day 1 – Building awareness & understandingLearn about the dynamics of domestic and family violence, who is most at risk, early warning signs, and the impact on individuals, families and communities. Day 2 – Taking action & putting it into practiceGain practical skills to respond safely, support victim-survivors, and connect people to the right services. This session focuses on real-world scenarios, confidence-building and community-led prevention. • Recognise early signs of domestic and family violence • Respond safely and appropriately • Connect people to support services • Build capability across workplaces, schools and community groups • Hear from experts, frontline workers and community leaders • Contribute to a safer, more informed Central Coast
