Holiday Art Club: Draw, Paint and Sculpt with Nature! (Ages 6-12)

Looking for creative kids engagement these school holidays? Our Holiday Art Club is the perfect bite-sized activity for little artists.

There are two Holiday Art Club sessions. You can choose one or the other, or both!

ABOUT HOLIDAY ART CLUB

Session 1: Botanical Drawing and Painting En Plein Air Thursday 9 July, 1-2:30pm This workshop takes place at the Community Garden of Bankstown Public School. In this drawing and painting workshop, students will meet at the Community Garden of Bankstown Public School where they will learn to create colourful botanical artworks with pencils, oil pastels and watercolours inspired by the gardens.

Session 2: Ceramic Flower Pots - SOLD OUT Thursday 16 July, 1-3pm This workshop takes place at Bankstown Arts Centre. In this ceramics workshop, students will meet at Bankstown Arts Centre where they will learn basic ceramic hand-building techniques to create their own flower pots. They will then use flowers, grasses and leaves to create decorative floral imprints in the clay, making their pieces truly unique. After the class, these pieces will be glazed and fired and participants will be notified when they are ready to be collected.

Age: Kids 6-12 Dates & times: Session 1: Thursday 9 July, 1-2:30pm Session 2: Thursday 16 July, 1-3pm Cost: One session - $40 (Free with Creative Kids Voucher) Both sessions - $70 ($20 with Creative Kids Voucher) Save $10! Note: Creative Kids Vouchers cannot be split. Any remaining amount will be forfeited. These workshops require a minimum of 6 students to run. Active and Creative Kids Vouchers Great news, Bankstown Arts Centre is an approved Active and Creative Kids Provider! This means you can use your Active and Creative Kids Voucher for this class, to reduce the price by $50! Enter your Active and Creative Kids Voucher number and child's details at the checkout. Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $50 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers. School-aged children between the ages of 4.5 to 18 are eligible and applying for vouchers is free.
