A hands-on, nature-based learning program designed especially for homeschooling families π±
Join us for a 9-week spring gardening, food growing and homesteading skills program for homeschooled children aged 5β17 years. Rooted in permaculture principles, this engaging outdoor experience nurtures real-life skills, confidence, and a deep connection to nature while preparing the garden for a season of spring abundance.

π Mondays 1pm β 3pm (27th July β 21st September 2026)
π Fridays 10am β 12pm (31st July β 25th September 2026)
π° $180 per term (first child)
π° $130 per term (siblings)
π± Each session includes:
π Feeding and caring for chickens, ducks, quails, bunnies, and goats
π§βπΎ Garden maintenance and planting in tune with the seasons
π₯ Collecting eggs, composting, and working with real food
π Free play and goat cuddles in a safe, outdoor learning space

Week 1
π Monday 27th July | Friday 31st July
π₯ Campfire Connections β Welcome to the Farm
A warm and relaxed introduction to the term. Children will explore the farm, meet and feed our animals, discover our permaculture systems, and build new friendships around the campfire while enjoying hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows.

Week 2
π Monday 3rd August | Friday 7th August
π± Spring Seedling Success β Getting a Head Start
Children will learn which vegetables, herbs and flowers thrive during spring and discover how gardeners get a head start on the growing season by raising seedlings in our greenhouse before the weather warms. We will sow our spring seedlings together.

Week 3
π Monday 10th August | Friday 14th August
πΏ Grow More for Free β Plant Propagation
Children will learn how gardeners create new plants without buying seeds or new plants, by taking cuttings, dividing plants and saving runners and seeds. Each child will propagate plants to take home and watch grow.

Week 4
π Monday 17th August | Friday 21st August
π₯ Root Crops β Growing Underground Treasures
Children will discover how vegetables grow beneath the soil and explore root crops including carrots, beetroot, radish, parsnip, swede and onions. Together weβll sow a selection of root crop seeds in the garden.

Week 5
π Monday 24th August | Friday 28th August
π Native Bees & Backyard Biodiversity
Children will learn about Australiaβs native bees, their role in pollination and how to create wildlife-friendly gardens that support biodiversity. We will build a native bee hotel for the garden and sow pollinator attracting flower seeds, including a sunflower seedling to take home.

πΌ Edible Flowers & Spring Colour
Children will discover the colourful world of edible flowers and learn how easy they are to grow in the garden. Weβll explore a variety of flowers that can be eaten,
