Imagining the Past: Creating Lost Worlds with Professor Flint
About this event
Have you ever wondered how scientists know what dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures really looked like? These July school holidays, Professor Flint will show you how in a hands-on science and art workshop for children aged 5–12 (session one is for 5-8 years olds session 2 is for 9-12 year olds)
During the 90 minute workshop, you’ll discover how scientists piece together clues from fossils to reconstruct the prehistoric past, then create your own prehistoric masterpiece. Participants are encouraged to enter the Mary Anning Art Prize, a creative competition for young South Australians inspired by our state’s amazing prehistoric past.
These free school holiday workshops have been made possible thanks to Inspiring SA and Dinosaur University. Every child with a Children’s University Passport will be given a stamp in their passport for participating in the workshop.
