Journey with the Chau Chak Wing Museum - Parramatta Library

Journey with the Chau Chak Wing Museum is running two of the same sessions over these school holidays.

This workshop is suitable for individuals aged 8 to 14 years. Join us for a free 2-hour workshop, with archaeologists, historians and artists from the University of Sydney's Chau Chak Wing Museum. You will explore the Chau Chak Wing Museum’s collection through the theme of journeys.

You will be able to handle some objects and artefacts from the museum’s collection and engage in activities centring around:

The workshop includes a creative writing session designed by poet Sara Saleh. Trace your personal journey alongside those of real museum objects and graffiti our wall to match that theme. How can words and images be used to express the stories of your journey so far? How can these stories be preserved for the future, like those stories in objects held in museums?
