Junior Foreshore Rangers Program - Planting by the Sea

About this event

Join Whitecliffs Foreshore Reserve for a fun-filled coastal planting adventure by the beach! Young nature explorers will get hands-on experience as they dig, plant, and help restore important coastal habitats while learning how native plants protect our coastline. Throughout the session, kids will discover how plants act as “nature’s protectors,’ helping keep our beaches healthy and resilient for the future. Rangers will share fun facts about the local environment, coastal erosion, native species, and how everyone can help care for the coastline.

What’s included: Plants, gloves, and spades will all be provided.

Please wear outdoor clothes, enclosed shoes, and sun-smart clothing including a hat and sunscreen. Participants should arrive 15 minutes early for this exciting beachside adventure!

Please note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This session is best suited for ages 5-13.
