Junior Ranger Program – Lake Meran School Holiday Program- turtles activity

About this event

The Freshwater Turtle Activity focuses on the importance of protecting native turtle species and wetland habitats.

Participants will learn about: Local freshwater turtle species Turtle lifecycles and nesting behaviour Threats facing turtle populations, including habitat loss and predation Wetland health and conservation practices The importance of healthy waterways for biodiversity Activities may include: Turtle habitat exploration Nest protection education Water quality observations Interactive conservation games and learning activities Citizen science and wildlife monitoring discussions

The activity aims to inspire young people to become future caretakers of waterways and wetland ecosystems.
