Little Steps to Big Health
About this event
Little Steps to Big Health is an engaging, interactive program delivered in collaboration with Western Sydney University, designed for preschool‑aged children and their parents or caregivers to explore healthy habits together. The program focuses on five key areas of children’s health: physical activity, nutrition, sleep, wellbeing, and social connection.
Delivered in a session‑based format, each one‑hour session centres on a single health topic and is suitable for groups of approximately 15–20 children. Sessions feature a story‑based component, one to two hands‑on activities that encourage movement, creativity, and social interaction, and a simple, informative take‑home resource to support parents and caregivers in continuing learning at home.
The program is age‑appropriate, evidence‑informed, and fun, supporting positive health behaviours in the early years while strengthening family engagement and community connection.
