Minis NAIDOC Craft Workshop: Beading with Jake Simon
About this event
Join Worimi creative Jake Simon for an exciting, hands-on beading workshop where Minis can craft their own statement jewellery. In this creative session, kids will design and build a custom beaded piece, exploring colour and pattern as they bring their ideas to life.
Guided step-by-step, participants will learn essential jewellery-making techniques — from threading beads and working with cords and needles, to securing strong, finished pieces using clasps and knots. With a wide selection of beads to choose from, every Mini can create something completely their own.
By the end of the workshop, each child will leave with a beautifully finished piece of wristwear, along with the foundational skills to keep designing and creating at home.
As part of NAIDOC Week, this workshop acknowledges 50 Years – Deadly, celebrating creativity and the next generation through hands-on making.
