Minis NAIDOC Craft Workshop: Weaving with Tegan Murdock
About this event
Join Tegan Murdock of Numpie Weaving for a hands-on weaving workshop where Minis can learn and create in a warm, welcoming environment. Designed for all skill levels, this session invites kids to get involved in a shared weaving circle, building confidence through creativity and connection.
With everything provided — including studio-dyed raffia, craft needles and starter coils — participants will be guided through the process of weaving their own piece, learning techniques that have been passed down through generations.
By the end of the workshop, each Mini will have created their own woven piece to take home, while gaining an introduction to weaving in a supportive, community-centred setting.
As part of NAIDOC Week, this workshop acknowledges 50 Years – Deadly, celebrating culture, connection and the next generation through shared creative practice.
