NAIDOC Week children's taste and talk

About this event

Join us as we celebrate NAIDOC Week as a part of the Gai-mariagal Festival through a Taste and Talk hosted by Koori Kinnections.

Discover the flavours of native bushfoods in this engaging NAIDOC workshop with Koori Kinnections. Learn about traditional Aboriginal uses of bushfoods, how they were gathered and shared, then enjoy tasting a variety of native ingredients served in contemporary styles. Children will explore culture through hands-on learning and leave with a deeper connection to Country and food traditions.

Koori Kinnections is a 100% Aboriginal-owned and operated cultural education business, delivering authentic, hands-on experiences that connect people with Aboriginal culture. Programs include guided bushwalks, bushfood cooking, weaving workshops and 'hands-on' school incursions.

Curated for children aged 5-12 years but not restricted.

This workshop is funded by Ku-ring-gai Council's Environmental Levy.
