NAIDOC Week children's traditional games
About this event
Join us as we celebrate NAIDOC Week as a part of the Gai-mariagal Festival for some traditional Indigenous games hosted by Aboriginal Incursions.
Traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander games were used for fun, learning, survival skills, teamwork, fitness and cultural teaching. Many games helped children and young people develop hunting, tracking, coordination, communication and cooperation skills.
Aboriginal Incursions Pty Ltd is an Aboriginal-owned cultural education and entertainment company based in Sydney that delivers authentic First Nations cultural workshops, LIVE performances and educational experiences across Australia.
Curated for children aged 5-12 years but not restricted.
This workshop is funded by Ku-ring-gai Council's Environmental Levy.
