Explore even more at this year’s Play and Explore! Search around the library for our hidden seed sites, and make a collection that you can use at the seed sphere creation station. Roll up a biodegradable ball that you can save for spring, and enjoy the science of seeds long after Science Week ends! A seed sphere is a small ball made from a mix of clay, compost, and seeds. You roll it up by hand, let it dry, and then toss or plant it somewhere, the ball protects the seeds until rain breaks it down and releases them into the soil, where they can sprout and grow.
