Play at the Bay - Creative Inks

Join us for one or both of these sessions to explore the vibrant world of inks. Designed for children aged 7–12 years, these beginner-friendly workshops may take up to 2 hours, with step-by-step guidance throughout.

Session 1: Ink Blooms Workshop Tuesday 7 July | 1:30pm–3:30pm Discover the magic of inks in this inspiring workshop. Using an ink blower tool, you'll learn how to guide inks into flowing, organic shapes that transform into beautiful abstract floral blooms. Experiment with colour, movement, and creative expression as you create your own stunning A3 artwork.

Session 2: Ink & Texture Canvas Workshop Tuesday 14 July | 10:00am–12:00pm Create a striking mixed-media artwork by combining fluid inks with textured design techniques. Build a vibrant, flowing background as colours blend and move across the canvas, then use stencils and textured paste to add depth, contrast, and visual interest.

Adult companion tickets are available - adults are welcome to join in and create their own artwork, or attend alongside a child and work on the same piece at no additional cost. Children and young people must attend with a parent, caregiver, or support person who remains responsible for their supervision throughout the session.
