Preserving workshop

About this event

Discover traditional preserving techniques of our grandparents!

Have lots of seasonal produce and don't know what to do with them? Margaret Mossakowska from Moss House will share her food preserving skills during a hands-on workshop.

This session will cover the basics of preserving fruit and vegetables, with examples of pickles, dehydrated and fermented preserves and discussion on what natural additives to use - and why. We will make a beetroot preserve from scratch, so come ready to get your hands dirty! Everyone will get a jar to take home.

Please bring an apron.

This workshop is funded by Ku-ring-gai Council's Environmental Levy
