School holiday activity - Winter hub Who drops a lot?

About this event

Drop in any time from 10am-2pm. This event is suitable for All ages.

Do plants feel the cold? Some trees seem to clutch their leaves tightly to them during the winter months and some like to drop them all and go naked.

Come explore our Temperate Region Plants garden during our Winter Hub school holiday activities and see “who drops a lot‖.

Collect fallen leaves, make leaf rubbings and tracings, sketch, colour and write about your favourite Autumn leaf.

Explore leaf shape, colour and venation, take home a critter made from leaves, and a woven frame with leaves you find to remind you of your winter fun.

Bring a picnic blanket and lunch to enjoy on our grassy lawn.

Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult.

Meet at the Temperate garden.
