July 6, 11 AM - 11:45 AM - For NAIDOC Week 2026 Council is running a school holiday Bush School program for primary school aged children to learn more about Australian native plants, Aboriginal Symbols and values connected to Country, and the importance of caring for our natural environment.

Bush School is a casual, community-based program that allows children to learn about and experience nature.
For NAIDOC Week 2026 Council is running a school holiday Bush School program for primary school aged children to learn more about Australian native plants, Aboriginal Symbols and values connected to Country, and the importance of caring for our natural environment.
In this program children aged 5 to 12 years old can decorate a terracotta pot and plant a native plant in the pot to take home with them, and particpate in a creative modelling-clay activity.
This program is available for school aged children only. For this program 1 booking is required per child.
Best access via Paton St, Merrylands West. Venue: Central Gardens Nature Reserve
