Full Day School Holiday Program

📅 13th July | 🕒 9am-3pm | 💰 $110 | Ages 6+

📍 Permaculture Hawkesbury Valley Farm

Step away from screens and into the outdoors for a full day of hands-on survival skills, bushcraft, teamwork and adventure 🌿

Children will spend the day learning practical outdoor skills used by explorers, pioneers and survivalists while building confidence, resilience and independence in a safe and supportive environment.

During this exciting full-day program, children will:

🔥 Learn bow drill and flint & steel fire lighting techniques

⛺ Build a bush shelter using natural materials found around the farm

💧 Learn how to, filter and sterilise water

🌿 Forage for useful plants and natural materials while learning how people have traditionally used them

🧭 Develop navigation, observation and outdoor problem-solving skills

🍃 Learn basic bushcraft techniques and wilderness awareness

🥔 Harvest seasonal produce from the farm and prepare food for cooking

🔥 Cook food over the campfire using ingredients harvested from the garden

🐐 Visit and spend time with our friendly farm animals including goats, chickens, ducks and quails.

🌳 Enjoy a full day of outdoor adventure, nature connection and hands-on learning

🔥 Finish the day around the campfire with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows

This immersive full-day experience gives children the opportunity to learn practical life skills that build confidence, independence and resilience while having fun outdoors with new friends.

In a world where many children spend less time outdoors than ever before, Bushcraft & Survival Skills Day encourages children to connect with nature, solve problems, work as a team and discover what they are capable of achieving. Children leave feeling empowered, capable and proud of the skills they have learned.

This is a full-day program running during regular school hours, making it a great option for working families looking for an engaging and educational school holiday activity. Children are welcome to attend as a drop-off program, however parents and caregivers who would prefer to stay for the duration are also welcome.
