School Holiday Program -String Art Designs-Ages 5 plus

Learn to make a string art image: make a bird, a feather, a tree, a dandelion, a butterfly or a leaf. Find out how to age, texture or colour your timber backing board, trace out key design points, fix pins into position and carefully thread your shape. Tie off each colour or join to the next one and finally knot or pin your ends. Participants are welcome to bring their own design ideas, just no bigger than 15cm, please. A selection of sample pictures will also be available to trace. Suitable for school age children who can use scissors, tools and follow a process.

Important things to note:

• Parents and guardians must remain with children under the age of 12 during sessions.

• If you have booked a session and can no longer attend, please call to cancel so others are able to attend.

• Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds as all material and equipment will be purchased in advance however, you can pass on your ticket to a friend.

By attending this event you consent for you, and any persons you are responsible for, being photographed and/or filmed and agree that the Mount Barker Council may use the resulting photographs and film for promotional purposes, including by publishing them in print and other media. Please see one of our event staff if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
