Symphony of Stories Joke Book Workshop with Mark Guthrie (ages 7–12)

About this event

Participants will develop their ideas, write jokes and bring them to life through drawing, learning how to plan, draft and create their own finished book.

The session is led by experienced illustrator, cartoonist and animator Mark Guthrie.

Parents and carers, please book tickets for each child attending the session. Supervising adults are free and must remain to supervise children for the duration of the session.

About the facilitator:

Mark Guthrie is an illustrator, cartoonist and animator with extensive experience across publishing and children’s books.

He has worked as a graphic artist with ITV Channel 4 and Walt Disney Animation Australia, and as a freelance illustrator and cartoonist on a wide range of projects. His work includes children’s book illustration for Scholastic Australia, Koala Books, Blake Education, Pearson Education and Transworld Publishers, as well as illustration and cartooning for newspapers and magazines.
