Teens Introduction to Printmaking with Edwina Barton
About this event
This full-day workshop introduces students to two accessible printmaking techniques: Tetra Pak etching and linocut printing. Throughout the day, students will learn how artists create images through carving, incising, and inking surfaces before transferring them to paper using a printing press. Students will explore line, texture, contrast, and mark-making while gaining hands-on experience with both intaglio and relief printing processes. By the end of the workshop, each student will have created and printed a small edition of both a Tetra Pak etching and a linocut print. Students will have a morning or afternoon tea break , and a lunch break if they are booked in for a full day. Breaks are supervised and usually held outside in our beautiful garden (weather permitting). If your teen is coming and going independently, please complete the waiver giving permission for them to leave at the end of class.
