Winter Holiday Fun at Peninsula Farm

About this event

What could this be...?

Today's focus at Peninsula Farm at Wu-rut Woorat is a hard-working insect.

Hint: the early Swan River Colony families that travelled from England on board the Tranby in 1830 brought a hive out with them.

Learn more about these fascinating creatures as you explore the grounds and find them hiding around the heritage house. You'll even get to make one to take home with you!

There'll also be a variety of old fashioned games for the whole family to enjoy.

This a special opportunity to experience Peninsula Farm at Wu-rut Woorat outside of its normal open days.

Weather permitting, we recommend packing a picnic if you wish to stay longer and enjoy the riverside location. There’s a new self-guided walking tour booklet of the grounds you can try together, too!

Please note, activities are aimed at primary-school aged children. Siblings are of course welcome!

How to bookChoose your preferred session time and ticket type from the options available. Each session is scheduled to run for one hour from the start time.

Important noteDue to City of Bayswater riverside works currently in progress, there may be machinery in operation and fences blocking access to some parts of the grounds. Please pay attention to safety barriers and signs.

The nearby Peninsula Farm Cafe is closed on Mondays. Please feel free to bring food and drink to enjoy on the grounds, but they must not be consumed in the heritage house.
